BOOKINGS

I’ve booked advance tickets but need to change the name of the booking?

If you need to change the name of your booking you will have to call our booking team on 01322 427270 who will happily make the changes.

I haven’t received the email with my print at home tickets – what should I do?

Just bring proof of ID and your booking reference number with you and our booking team can look up your booking on the day

Do I have to print my print at home tickets or can I bring them on my phone?

If you can open the print at home PDF file that is attached to your confirmation email, then we can use the booking reference number directly from your phone or tablet at reception on the day of your visit.

My online booking failed part way through and it looks like I’ve been charged – what should I do?

Just bring proof of ID, proof of charges (bank or card statement) and your booking reference number with you and our reception team can look up your booking on the day

I need to make a change to my online booking – what should I do?

Except as set out in our booking terms and conditions, we do not accept cancellations or permit bookings to be rescheduled within 7 days of your booked session. However, your booking can be transferred to other persons for the same date and time. This does not apply to group bookings of 12 people or more

If you are a business customer, we do not offer refunds on bookings, if you wish to cancel your booking and the course is in operation

If you are a business customer, bookings eligible to be rescheduled need to be booked for a session within 3 months of the original booking date. Such bookings can only be rescheduled once

If any participants from a group booking do not attend the Activities, the total cost of the group as initially booked will still apply. Extra participants may be added subject to availability and payment of the additional costs for such participants

If you choose to cancel up to 7 days before your session we will happily reschedule your booking, subject to availability and our booking terms and conditions. This applies to bookings of fewer than 12 people only.

I’ve accidently booked my tickets multiple times online – what should I do?

Please email your request to our booking team at pcteam@adventureexperience.co.uk attaching scanned pictures of all tickets bought with copies of bank statements and any correspondence where relevant. Please provide as much detail as possible in your contact with us.

Can I get a refund for my advance booked online tickets?

All tickets are non-refundable

If you would like to discuss your booking, please email your request to pcteam@adventureexperience.co.uk along with scanned pictures of the tickets and reason for request for refund.

Is my promotional code valid?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to comment on any specific vouchers or deals – there are, after all, lots of fantastic deals available

Therefore, please double-check the terms and conditions of the voucher to avoid disappointment. Your voucher should have an expiry date and will list out any restriction dates and times.

Can I buy my tickets online using a promotional code or voucher?

Please check the Terms and Conditions of your voucher – some vouchers can be redeemed online

Unfortunately, unless stated otherwise, physical promotional vouchers can only be redeemed on the day.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

When are the busiest and quietest times for the Adventure Golf?

It can be difficult to say how busy the Adventure Golf course will be on a day that you choose to visit, school holiday and event periods are busier than mid week term time dates

However, with a bit of planning you can still have the most amazing time

Pirate Cove Adventure Park is outdoors and we are therefore subject to the great British weather

Be prepared and bring appropriate clothing and footwear should unfavorable weather be forecast

Our reception area do sell ponchos should you need to buy them

The Adventure Golf course will only close during periods of heavy snow and ice or flooding. Please check our Facebook page for updates on closure prior to making your journey

How do I get to Pirate Cove Adventure Park by public transport?

By Bus – Frequent buses run to Bluewater, including services from Ebbsfleet International, Dartford and Gravesend stations. The journey time between Ebbsfleet and Bluewater is between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the route

By Train – Ebbsfleet International station has trains to and from London St Pancras, Stratford, Ashford, many other parts of Kent, Paris and even Brussels

I can’t see a specific ticket for disabled guests when booking online – how do I book a free carer ticket?

Tickets for disabled persons should be purchased as normal online minus the carer ticket

On arrival speak to our front of house team and present your supporting documents and ask for your free carer wristband

Is car parking available?

Free car parking is available.

Is it safe to leave my vehicle in the car park?

Vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk. We take no responsibility for damage caused to any vehicle using the car park and no guarantee is given as to the security of guests’ vehicles in the car park or any contents

ADVENTURE GOLF

Are dogs allowed on the Adventure Golf course?

Yes, well behaved dogs can join you on the course but must be kept on a lead at all times

Please bring your poop scoop and disposable bag to clear up any mess

Is the Adventure Golf course wheelchair friendly?

Yes, the Adventure Golf course has been designed to be wheelchair friendly

Is the Adventure Golf course pushchair friendly?

You are more than welcome to use a pushchair onto the course

Are there seating areas around the Adventure Golf course?

We do have benches located around the course for use during queuing between holes on busy days

How long does it take to complete 18 holes of Adventure Golf?

Depending on how busy the course is during the time of your visit it may take between 45 minutes and up to 120 minutes to complete the 18-holes

We advertise approximate times at the reception desk but if in doubt please ask a member of our front of house team

How many people can play?

We operate a policy of maximum 6 players per hole

If your group is larger than 6 people we recommend you divide yourself in to teams

Do I need to bring my own golf putters?

We provide Adventure Golf putters in a wide range of sizes to suit the majority of peoples height

I am left-handed – do I need to bring my own golf putters?

Our Adventure Golf putters are compatible for both right and left handed players

How do I know which size golf putter to use?

We have 5 different sizes of Adventure Golf putters. The best way to judge which one is best for you is to stand the putter up against your leg – the top of the putter should be roughly the same height as your hip

Do I need experience in golf to be able to play?

Our Adventure Golf courses are designed with absolute beginners in mind but equally our courses have hosted British Mini Golf Association competitions for professional Adventure Golfers

Whether you are looking for some light hearted fun and lots of laughter or if you are an avid, competitive Adventure Golfer our courses are perfectly suited for all abilities and ages

What age do you have to be to play Adventure Golf

Adventure Golf is a unique activity that grandparents and grandchildren can play together

Whether you are age 3 or 103 everybody is welcome to join in the competitive fun

What does “par” mean?

The number of strokes (each time you putt the ball is classed as a stroke) it should take to putt the ball in the hole

Each hole is graded and typically our courses comprise par 2 and 3 holes

The higher the par rating the more difficult the challenge to putt the ball

How do I score?

On arrival you will be offered one of our scorecards, which accommodates scoring for up to 6 players

Each hole on the course is numbered and the par rating is shown on the scorecard against each numbered hole

The aim is to putt the ball into the hole with the least amount of putts. For example if you putt the ball 3 times to get it in the hole, you have to write down 3 on your scorecard against the corresponding hole

Once you have completed all 18 holes add up the total number of putts for all 18 holes and the individual with the lowest score wins the game

Can I film on the Adventure Golf course using Go Pro or other filming equipment?

Film as much as you like and feel free to upload them and tag us on Facebook or Twitter so we can join in the fun

Is smoking permitted at Pirate Cove Adventure Park?

We operate a no smoking policy

Do you have lockers available for my personal belongings?

We do not provide lockers and recommend personal belongings are locked in your car

Any possessions left in a vehicle are left entirely at the owner’s risk. We suggest that no items are left so that they are visible from the outside of the vehicle. We are not liable for any theft by third parties from your vehicle

I don’t want to play Adventure Golf and prefer to spectate only – is this allowed?

We do allow spectators on the Adventure Golf course outside of peak periods, which is discretionary and will be determined on arrival

If the course is deemed not too busy we will issue each spectator a wrist band up to a maximum of 1 spectator permitted per 3 paying players

FACILITIES (WASH ROOMS)

Are baby changing facilities provided?

Yes, located in Bluewater Shopping Centre. The nearest washrooms are located to the rear of the Winter Garden main food hall. There is a designated Family Changing area

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Are snacks and refreshments available on site?

Bottled water, bottled soft drinks, slush puppie, variety of packaged ice creams including soft scoop ice cream, crisps and a wide range of sweets and chocolates are available to purchase at Pirate Cove Adventure Golf reception

Alternatively, a huge variety of food outlets are located within a short walking distance in the Winter Garden food hall, the Pirate Cove team will be happy to point you in the right direction

Can I bring my own food?

We do not permit our guests to bring their own food and drink to consume on the premises

Yes, we encourage players to take drinks and food on the course, in particular during hot weather

It can take up to 120 minutes to complete the 18 hole course on busy days so snacks and drinks are recommended whilst you play

CHILDRENS BIRTHDAY PARTIES

What is included in the children’s party package?

Our standard children’s party package includes:

  • 18 holes of Adventure Golf
  • Adventure Golf certificates
  • Themed party box comprising a Pirate colouring book, Pirate crayons, Pirate puzzle, Eye patch, Pirate telescope (this may be subject to variations so please check with the reception team on 01322 427270
  • Printable PDF children’s party invites
  • Free use of an indoor area for up to 20 children

We kindly request that you:

  • Allow adequate time to complete the Adventure Golf prior to the booked slot for the children’s party area
  • Provide adequate children’s supervision
  • Leave the children’s party area clean and tidy

What times are children’s parties available?

Children’s parties are 2 hours maximum and include use of a party room / area during this time and 18 holes of Adventure Golf

We kindly request you allow 15 minutes, within the 2 hour booking, to clear and tidy the party room / area

What extras are available in addition to the standard children’s party package?

Pirate themed face masks £1.50

How many people can I book a children’s party for?

Minimum 12 and maximum 20 children

Minimum 2 adults are required to supervise, based on a group size of 12

A maximum ratio of 1 adult to 6 children is required for group sizes larger than 12

Do the Pirate Cove Adventure Park team provide a host for the children’s party?

We don’t provide a host but our team will be available to welcome you on arrival and answer any questions on the day

How long do I get to use of the children’s party room?

We provide free use of the children’s party area for up to 120 minutes but we do request you allow 15 minutes to clear and tidy the area within the 120 minute booking

Does Pirate Cove Adventure Park provide children’s party invites?

Children’s party invites are available on the website as a printable PDF

How do I book a children’s birthday party?

Children’s party bookings are online only

GROUP BOOKINGS

How do I make a group booking?

If your group size is 12 or less you should book online

If you’re planning a corporate day, stag or hen party or school trip then you need to book in advance by calling 01322 427270 and speak to one of the booking team. Alternatively you can email us at pcteam@adventureexperience.co.uk

PEDAL BOATS

What is the capacity of the Pedal Boat

A Pedal Boat can accommodate 4 persons (babies count as a participant)

What supervision is required?

Under 12 year olds must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian age 18 or above

Is the lake supervised?

The lake is patrolled by our trained Pedal Boat operators at all times during operation

How long do I get on the Pedal Boat?

Pedal Boats sessions are 30 minutes duration

I can swim do I need to wear a life jacket?

Life jackets must be worn, for your safety, at all times whilst in the Pedal Boat

Do you have a variety of life jackets sizes?

Yes we have infant to XL and all jackets are fully adjustable

What happens if I get into trouble on the lake?

Our Pedal Boat team are fully trained in water rescue procedures and patrol the lake to ensure your safety

If you need help, a short blast on the whistle attached to your life jacket, will summons assistance from our team
